Writing For Our Lives

Commissioned by The Cropper Foundation and published by Peekash Press, Writing For Our Lives, the anthology brings together 18 established and emerging writers from eight Caribbean territories, co-edited by Diana McCaulay and Shivanee Ramlochan.

The cover is based around original artwork by Jaidn Bain; a young Trinidadian artist whose painting was commissioned specifically for the project. My role was to honour that work: to let it carry the cover without over-designing around it, while giving the publication Peekash Press’s visual identity.

Beyond the book itself, I designed the full campaign surrounding it: a suite of social media assets profiling each of the 18 contributing authors, and the launch event invitations for the Bocas Lit Fest debut.
